Coach 2
Introducing...
If you were hoping that our second coach would be as impressive as Hoodie, prepare to be satisfiedCarla DiFilippo
Carla has been one of the most influential women in the Toronto Women’s Ultimate scene. As a player and later a captain, Carla helped lead Capitals to success on the field, including a bronze medal at the 2012 World Ultimate Championships and a USAU finals appearance in 2010. Carla also played a key role for Toronto’s Lotus for several years, including their 2009 CUC win in Winnipeg.
As impressive as her playing career is, her coaching career somehow tops it. Carla was Assistant Coach for the 2013 U23 Women’s team earning a bronze medal in Toronto, Coach for the 2014 U20 Women’s team in Lecco, Italy earning a silver medal, and has most recently taken on the role of Head Coach of the U20 Women’s team competing in Wroclaw, Poland in this summer. However, Carla’s most notable contribution to the Ultimate community is in our local Juniors scene. She has played an indispensable role in the development of the TORO women’s team, leading them to Toronto’s first ever Junior Women’s gold medal at the 2014 Canadian Ultimate Championships. We are so lucky to have a Frisbee mastermind like Carla on board.
